Who we are

A small club. Serious judo. Friendly mats.

Hughey's Judo is the judo program at Gracie Tampa South, coached by Joe Hughey. We train two nights a week and we run things the way a club should run — clear curriculum, respectful pace, and genuine attention to each student.

Beginners, lifers, competitors, kids, adults — everyone trains together. That's how judo is supposed to work, and it's how you actually get good.

Curriculum

100+ techniques. One belt at a time.

Throws, pins, chokes, joint locks — every technique on the syllabus is documented here with high-quality video, Japanese names, and clear belt-by-belt expectations.

Use it to study between classes, prep for a grading, or just look up that thing you forgot the name of on the drive home.
