Description

A technique to choke the opponent’s neck region by gripping his left side-collar through his throat with right hand from behind, inserting the left arm through the left armpit to raise the arm upward, pulling the right hand in a right-rear direction and thrusting the left hand under the right arm. (Kodokan definition)

Key points

  1. From behind, grip collar through throat with one hand.
  2. Insert other arm through armpit and thrust under the first arm.
  3. Apply choke with both arms.
