Description

A technique to hold down the opponent’s upper body under the chest and abdomen region by holding his right arm in the right arm from the diagonal-right side of his head and gripping the left side of his belt with the left hand while he is lying on his back. (Kodokan definition)

Key points

  1. Hold uke’s arm in your arm; grip uke’s belt with other hand.
  2. Hold down from diagonal position at uke’s head.
