Ma-sutemi-waza Throw

Description

A technique to throw the opponent over the shoulder by breaking his balance forward, leaning over his back, holding and lifting his upper body in both arms while laying down the body onto the back. (Kodokan definition)

Key points

  1. Break uke’s balance forward; lean over uke’s back.
  2. Hold and lift uke’s upper body in both arms.
  3. Lie back and throw uke over your shoulder.
