Kansetsu-waza Kansetsu-waza - Joint Lock

Description

A technique to stretch and lock the opponent’s elbow joint by grabbing his right wrist with the right hand from the right side of the opponent and pressing his arm on the abdomen. (Kodokan definition)

Key points

  1. Grab uke’s wrist; press uke’s arm on your abdomen.
  2. Stretch and lock the elbow joint.
  3. Use abdomen as fulcrum.
